This is what the "visitgaucin" website says about walking:

WALKING

The Gaucín area offers fantastic opportunities for walkers. There are routes for all levels of experience. The village´s 98 square kilometres are a paradise of biodiversity and beauty and there are many walking routes detailed in books available from the Tourist Office or through the Wikiloc app, that references many walks in and around Gaucín and can be followed from your mobile phone.

12  ROUTES FROM THE VILLAGE

There are 12 routes, ranging in length from 3 kms to 13 kms, are easily accessible from the village.  These routes are fully signposted with Roman numerals on ceramic plaques and blue painted stripes. All have detailed written instructions in English and Spanish, which can be downloaded in pdf formatbelow (click on each link). You can also follow each route on wikiloc, using GPS technology.

Another excellent source of information written in English is a book written by local author Patrick Elvin “50 walks through Gaucín, Andalusia”, and is available to buy at the stationery shop in town or on Amazon.

If you would like further information about the Town Hall routes please, send an email to gaucindaywalks@gmail.com
